Each family's results email now leads with their own week
Weekly results now greet each family by name, show how their own entries did, reply to the team, and arrive at 7 AM the morning after.
Your week, first
The first thing a parent wants to know from a results email is how they did. So when a week of a Locker Room Fund pool is scored, each family's copy now starts there.
It opens with "Hi Dana," and a short "Your week" table: each of their entries, the teams it picked, its points, and where it finished. An entry on the podium shows its place ("1st place"). Every other entry shows where its score ranked ("7th of 24"), with a "T-" in front when another entry scored the same ("T-15th of 24"), so nobody reads that they finished ahead of someone they tied.
If they won, that comes before anything else, in a box at the top that names the prize and says they can collect it, or donate it to the team, on the pool page. Free entries get the same box, with a note that they play next week. The subject line names the prize too, so a winner knows before they even open it. Below their own week is the rest of the email: the winners, the tiebreak total, the week's awards.
One copy per family, kids included
Plenty of parents play for more than one person: their own entry, a second entry, and one for a child who doesn't have an email of their own. All of that lands in one inbox, so the parent's copy lists every entry they're responsible for, each labeled the way the leaderboard labels it ("Dana R. #2", "Sam R.").
The other games follow the same rule:
- Pick'em shows how many games each entry got right and where that ranked.
- Survivor says where each entry stands: still alive, out this week, or out in an earlier week, and "won the pool" when it's over.
- Squares already led a winner's copy with their win. Now every square holder's copy greets them by name too.
Organizers get the same treatment. The recap after scoring, the heads-up about players who need an admin to pick for them, and the morning list of payments to confirm all greet each admin by name. The one exception is an announcement an organizer writes: it goes out exactly as they wrote it, one copy per family.
Replies reach the team
Every email a team's pool sends can now carry the team's own reply address, set once for the team. A parent who hits reply on a results email, a pick reminder or a sign-in code reaches the team's organizers, not a dead end. That matters on a youth team, where the person running the pool is usually a volunteer parent who wants the questions in one place.
Results land in the morning
Results now go final at 7 AM pool time, the morning after the week's last game, in every game. Picks still lock on time and auto-picks are still drawn the moment the deadline passes; only the scoring waits. So a Monday night game that ends late doesn't drop a results email into anyone's inbox at bedtime. It's there at 7.
Two rules keep that honest:
- A week whose last game gets moved later waits for that game.
- A canceled game never counts as the week's last game, so it doesn't hold anything up.
