Questions
Straight answers.
- What kinds of businesses do you build for?
- Businesses running a real operation and bending around their software, short of safety-critical work. Every system we show is labeled: LIVE runs for real, DEMO runs on made-up data. If yours looks nothing like what you see here, we scope it on the build sheet and quote it first.
- What does it cost?
- A one-time build fee plus a monthly fee, both quoted in writing before anything gets built.
- How long until I’m live?
- It depends on what you need. You get a go-live date on the build sheet before we start, and we work to hold it.
- Who owns what?
- Your data is yours: ask and we send a full export within 10 business days, at no charge. Your domain and your accounts stay yours too. Forecheck keeps the software. If Forecheck shuts down for good, nobody takes over and you’re paid up, you get the code for your system, as is.
- Who do I call when something breaks?
- You deal directly with the founders. If the site or app is down, or bookings, leads or payments aren’t coming through, our target is a first response within 4 business hours. For anything else, it’s one business day. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 Arizona time, excluding federal holidays.
- What about changes after launch?
- Bug fixes and keeping your system running are covered by your monthly. New features are scoped and quoted before they’re built, and so is a rebuild when a company we depend on changes something.
- Can you connect to the tools I already use?
- Often, yes. Many tools have an API we can build against. Today our systems connect to payment processing like Square, text and email delivery, sign-in with the accounts people already have, and calendar feeds. For yours, we check on the first call and put the answer in writing.
- Do I have to change who handles my payments?
- Not necessarily. We’ve built on Square, for example. If you use someone else, we check on the first call and put the answer in writing.
- Can you move my data from my current software?
- Every source is different, so each move gets scoped. We look at what yours exports on the first call and put the move on the build sheet.
- Why is custom within reach now?
- AI cut what it costs to build software for one business. The big companies will grab that first, because that’s where the money is. We’d rather everyone else not be last in line.
- Can it help with taxes?
- The system we built for Advanced Body Arizona includes a tax packet: income and expenses sorted into Schedule C lines, receipts attached, and a rough quarterly set-aside. Forecheck isn’t a tax professional and the packet isn’t tax advice. Your accountant or preparer still files.
