Game day goes live in every Locker Room Fund pool
While the games are on, every pool shows live totals, who's through and the square that's winning, then hands out awards and a card for the team chat.
A pool is most fun between kickoff and the final whistle. Every Locker Room Fund pool now follows the games while they're being played.
What you see while the games are on
Once a week's deadline passes, its picks are locked. From then until the last game ends, each pool's This week tab shows the week live:
- Points Pool: every entry's running total and where it ranks.
- Pick'em: how many each entry has right so far.
- Survivor: who's through, who's out, and who's still sweating a game in progress.
- Squares: the score, the square it lands on right now, and who would win each paying quarter if it ended there.
Everyone's picks stay visible after the lock, and your own entries are pinned to the top so you don't have to scroll to find yourself.
Live is for watching. Scoring is official.
Live scores are display only. They never award a prize and never move a standing. The page says so in plain words: the official result comes from scoring.
That split is on purpose. A prize should come from one place, the final score, and never from a number that was only true for a minute in the third quarter.
Three tabs in every pool
Every pool now has the same three tabs: This week, Standings and Rules. Points Pool's standings add a podium and a season money list. Picks in every game are made on the same kind of pick sheet, so a family that learns one game already knows its way around the next.
Awards for the week
When a Points Pool week is final, it gets awards:
- Top dog: the week's high score. If entries are level at the top, every leader is named.
- Called it: the highest-scoring team anyone picked, and how many entries had them.
- Most picked: the team on the most entries, and what it scored.
- Lone wolf: the entry that took a team nobody else did. An entry the app picked at random never counts, since nobody chose those teams.
- Tiebreak hero: two people level on points, and the tiebreak guess gave one of them the prize.
- Rough Sunday: the week's low score, with a reminder that there's always next week.
The awards read from the official places recorded when the week was scored, so an award can never disagree with a prize.
A card for the team chat
A final week also gets a result card: a podium image made for dropping into the team's group chat. It names a split when entries share a place, and it shows prizes that are free entries as well as cash.
The same awards go out in the week's results email, so the family that never opens the app still hears who called it.
