Getting every family on the board, cash payers included
A flyer, a QR code and a social graphic for every board, plus a way for an admin to sign up and seat the family that pays cash.
A fundraiser board fills up one family at a time, and not every family wants to tap through an app. Football Squares handles both kinds.
A share kit for the board
Every board has a Share section for its admins:
- Copy QR.
- Download a flyer to print, sized for a regular sheet of paper.
- Download a graphic for social media.
The flyer and the graphic carry the team's name, color and logo, how the game works, the price of a square, the prizes, a QR code and the link to join. The flyer lists only the quarters that pay, so it never advertises a prize that isn't there. An admin uploads the team's logo once and it's used everywhere.
The family that pays cash
Some families hand an envelope to the coach and never open the app. An admin can run their whole season for them.
- Add a member yourself. A name is all it takes. Email is optional.
- Add squares from their card. Pick how many, tap once, and that many open squares are picked at random, marked paid and logged as cash.
- If the member has an email, they get a receipt. If they don't, nothing is sent.
- If a cash player wins, the win shows up in the admin's payout list flagged for handling by hand, and the admins get an email after the game saying how many payouts they need to settle themselves.
The first time a cash player signs in with their own email, they become a regular member and run their own squares from then on.
Member cards
Each member has a card an admin can open to fix a name or a phone number. The phone number formats itself as it's typed. An email, once it's set, can't be changed from the card.
Who gets to be an admin
Only I can make someone an admin of a board. When I do, they get an email that says "You've got the keys." A cash player with no email can't be made an admin, since there'd be no way for them to sign in.
Want a board for your team?
The home page has a short form for teams that want their own board: a name, an email, and a note if you have one. You get a confirmation, and I set the board up myself.
