One payment covers every square you picked this visit
Football Squares names each square as you tap it, lets you keep adding before you pay once, and tells you when an admin moves or takes back a square.
People don't buy squares in one go. They grab two, look at the board, grab three more, and want to pay once. Football Squares works that way.
Every square has a name
Tap a square and its name shows right in the cell, from A1 to J10. The squares you've picked are listed in the claim bar, so you can see exactly what you're about to claim before you claim it.
One visit, one payment
- Claim some squares, then tap "Add more squares" to go back to the board. Nothing you've already put on hold is dropped.
- When you're ready, one payment covers everything you're holding from this visit. The pay screen lists the squares from earlier in the visit, so the total makes sense.
- A bar on the board keeps the pay button one tap away. After you've paid, it offers to open your payment app again in case it didn't go through.
- Squares you held on an earlier visit aren't billed again.
A visit is one browser tab, and it ends after 20 minutes without a claim or a tap on pay. Looking at the board doesn't keep it open. That keeps a tab left open overnight from quietly combining with tomorrow's squares.
When an admin takes a square back
Sometimes a confirmed square has to come off the board. When an admin does that, the owner gets an email of their own about it. It can carry a note from the admin, it lists what the member still holds, and it says how it happened: "A person did this by hand, so a person can undo it."
A square that has already won can't be taken back.
Moving a square to someone else
An admin can move a square from one member to another, for the parent who bought one for a grandparent under the wrong name.
- Only the owner changes. The square keeps its paid status and its dates, so the new owner gets every game it was already eligible for.
- A square that has already won can't be moved.
- Nobody is emailed, since no money moves. The screen tells the admin to let both people know.
