Pick a time and I'll call you
forecheckai.com has a booking page now: pick a weekday evening time and I'll call you, on the same kind of booking I build for clients.
I build custom software for businesses. Until now, the only way to reach me was a contact form. It works, but it meant waiting for me to write back before we could even find a time. Now there's a booking page at https://forecheckai.com/book. You pick a time, and I call you.
What you see
The page shows the next 30 days. You pick a day, pick an open time, and fill in your name, your business, your email and the number I should call. There's one optional line for what you need. That's the whole form.
Calls are 20 minutes, by phone. I call you, so there's no meeting link to hunt for and nothing to install. Times are offered every half hour on weekdays, from 3:00 to 7:30 in the evening, Arizona time. The page shows each time in your own time zone and says plainly that I'm on Arizona time, which stays on the same clock all year.
When you book, a confirmation lands in your email with the day, the time and the number I'll call. Within the hour before the call, you get a reminder.
The rules it follows
- You can book as little as two hours ahead and as far as 30 days out.
- One call per person at a time. If you already have one booked, the page tells you so and doesn't book a second.
- Every call has a ten-minute gap after it, so one conversation running long doesn't eat into the next.
- If two people tap the same time at the same moment, the first one gets it and the second is told it's taken.
Changing your mind
The confirmation email has a link to change or cancel. You can move the call to another open time until two hours before it starts, and you can cancel any time before it starts. The old time opens up for someone else right away, and I get a note, so I'm never dialing someone who isn't expecting me.
My side of it
My own back office has a calendar page. It lists the calls coming up with the name, the business, the number to call and whatever the person wrote. I can block time on it, either once, for a single afternoon, or every week, for a standing commitment. Blocked time simply doesn't appear on the booking page. Nobody sees why, they just see the times that are open.
I can also subscribe my phone's calendar to it, so a booked call sits next to everything else in my day.
Why it's on my own site
I sell booking that lives on a business's own website, under its own name. It would be strange to send you to somebody else's scheduling tool to talk about that. So the call you book with me runs on the same kind of booking I build for clients. If you want to know what your customers would see, book a call and you've seen it.
If you'd rather write than talk, the form at https://forecheckai.com is still there.
